Animal Care Attendant - Part Time - Fixed Term
Contract: Part-Time, 6 months Fixed Term position
Hours: 16 hrs per wk; 8:30am-5pm, Sunday & Monday
Location: SPCA Levin Centre Animal Attendants are responsible for assisting with incoming & general care of the animals including; feeding, cleaning and administering medication, monitoring animal health and behaviour, dealing with enquiries regarding adoption of animals in person, via phone or website and coordinating volunteers working in the animal areas.

What we need from you
Our ideal Candidate will:
· Have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle conflict situations and a friendly and positive attitude
· Be a self-motivated team player, who is enthusiastic about animal welfare
· Be hands on and comfortable working with all types of animals
· Be a quick thinker who is skilled at multi-tasking
· Have a flexible approach to the hours of work, and be able to prioritise and effectively manage workloads
· Have previous proven animal care experience in a professional setting
· Ability to manage confidential information with responsibility and integrity
· Ability to manage stress and handle emotional situations while retaining empathy
· Hold a current clean full driving license
· Qualifications or relevant experience in the animal/welfare industry are preferred.
