Op Shop Manager - East Tamaki
The Role
The position will require strong leadership with a focus on driving revenue through excellent customer service.
The position will be busy, challenging, rewarding and fun!
As this is a new Op Shop with attached DC. You will have the opportunity to set up your new team and shop for success and build our SPCA Op Shop profile in the local community. Working with and supporting our DC Manger for a high performing facility. This hybrid facility will support the Northern group of Op Shops exceeding 22 and growing.
You will be responsible for the leadership of our dedicated volunteer team, customer service and daily retail operations. This includes a high standard of customer service, online sales, stock management, visual merchandising and general administration. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude. You will have good attention to detail, strong merchant skills, the ability to visual merchandise and present a retail shop to a high standard with the customer experience paramount in decision making.
You will go home every day with the knowledge that the work you do supports an amazing cause.
Skills and abilities:
· Retail leadership experience, second hand retail experience would be an advantage, however not essential
. Able to accept and process donations in a timely manner
. Ensuring stock quality and pricing aligns with the National Guide
. Reporting to and working with the DC Manager
· Have excellent communication and customer service skills, be solutions focused with friendly and a positive can-do attitude.
· Passionate about online selling and service to create a seamless customer journey
· Have proven ability to recruit, train, coach and lead a high performing team.
· Be a self-motivated team player, who is enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare.
· Demonstrate empathy and resilience
· Excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize and effectively manage workloads
· Strong administration, computer skills and visual merchandising experience.
