The Role

The position will require strong leadership with a focus on supporting our retail Team in the greater Auckland area. 

The position will be busy, challenging, rewarding and fun!

As this is a new hybrid Op Shop/DC you will have the opportunity to set up your new team and DC for success and build our SPCA Op Shop profile in the local community.   A  team working  together, with flexibility  to work across both retail and D/C, covering any rostering requirements. You will be trained in all functions of our retail op shop.  You will work with the Op Shop Manger building a strong, cohesive team with purpose, living our values:

You will be responsible for the leadership of our dedicated DC volunteer team, Op Shop Manager, along with op shop support via the DC and daily DC operations. This includes a high standard of timely processing, quality control and general stock management, inwards/outwards and general administration. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude preferably with industry or strong second hand experience. You will have good attention to detail, and willing to share your knowledge with the team. 

You will go home every day with the knowledge that the work you do supports an amazing cause. 

Skills and abilities: 

· Retail leadership experience, second hand retail experience is advantageous and preferred

· Have excellent communication and customer service skills, be solutions focused with friendly and a positive can-do attitude.

· Passionate about online selling and service 

. Flexibility and confidence to work across retail and DC when required

· Have proven ability to recruit, train, coach and lead a high performing team.

· Be a self-motivated team player, who is enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare.

· Demonstrate empathy and resilience

· Excellent organizational skills and be able to priorities and effectively manage workloads, while working in a high volume, high quality environment

· Strong administration, computer skills and visual merchandising experience.
