Contract: Permanent, Full Time 

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday 

Location: SPCA Manukau Op Shop, Auckland

We are excited to announce a Retail Manager position is now available at our new homewares concept store in Manukau! The position will be busy, exciting and challenging. As a new concept, this role will engage your entrepreneurial skills and give you the opportunity to positively influence, develop and refine this new homeware concept shop for SPCA!

You will be responsible for the leadership of the op shop team, online sales, logistics of donations deliveries to curate the ideal homeware and furniture range. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude. You will have good attention to detail, strong merchant skills, the ability to merchandise and present a retail shop with a high standard of customer experience paramount in decision making.

There is also the business development opportunity to build strong relationships with local businesses to encourage support with donations of goods and services.

Skills and abilities 

· Retail leadership experience, second hand retail experience would be an advantage, however not essential

· Have excellent communication and customer service skills, be solutions focused with friendly and a positive can-do attitude.

· Passionate about online selling and service to create a seamless customer journey

· Have proven ability to recruit, train, coach and manage a high performing team.

· Be a self-motivated team player, who is enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare.

· Demonstrate empathy and resilience

· Excellent organisation skills and be able to prioritise and effectively manage workloads

· Strong administration, computer skills and visual merchandising experience.
