Contract: Permanent, Full TIme

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday

Location: SPCA Rotorua Centre

The Field Officer/Community Support role is responsible for serving our local communities, including local SPCA centres, veterinary clinics and animals in need. This role involves the transportation and care of animals.

What we need from you 

Our ideal candidate will:

· Have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle conflict situations and a friendly and positive attitude.

· Have previous experience working in a similar role

· Have practical animal-handling experience and knowledge.

· Have a flexible approach to the hours of work, and be able to prioritise and effectively manage workloads.

· Have excellent computer skills.

· Have the ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.

· Have excellent driving skills, and be comfortable driving long distances.

· Have the ability to work both autonomously, and under direction.

· Demonstrate empathy and resilience

· Have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and must have a love for working with both people and animals.
